Social Cricket in north London
The Judd Street Tigers are a social cricket club based in Winchmore Hill in leafy north London. We play the game for the game’s sake, enjoying friendly rivalry and great company.
We were formed in 2012 by the merger of WestX1 CC and the Walthamstow Horizontals CC, both long time fixtures on the London social cricket scene. Finding ourselves struggling to put teams out regularly, and playing on adjacent pitches at Winchmore Hill CC, a coming together was inevitable.
Inevitably over the years we’ve become much closer to our host club, and before the 2016 season we made this official by becoming affiliate members of Winchmore Hill CC. Whilst retaining our independence, we now have certain membership privileges and the opportunity to play for the big club on occasions. In return we provide an opportunity for Winchmore Hill members to enjoy Sunday afternoon cricket.
We play virtually every Sunday between late April and late September, as well as 1 or maybe 2 overseas tours and a couple of long weekends around the UK (fixture list here). We’re always on the lookout for new players so do get in touch if you want to put the smile back into your Sunday.
Here’s where you can find us. Trains from central London take 28 minutes, and we’re a short hop on the 329 bus from Wood Green. The map links provide more detail.
