It was a bizarre weekend for cricket buffs: Tino Best hit a world record 95 for a No.11 batsman in Test Cricket; Eoin Morgan clobbered a 49-ball century for Middlesex against Lancashire, and village side Barrington CC were bowled out for 6 in a Somerset League match after a steady start of 3 for no wicket! Johnny Cash had a backing band called the Tennessee Two, later the Tennessee Three. Brendan Carlin’s Cinicinnati had been struggling for players all week, and just six made it to Winchmore Hill on yet another bleak, nuclear winter’s day under ginger beer skies – hence the Cincinnati Six, which sounds like a jazz band, as indeed does the Judd Street Tigers.
